Celebrating Outdoor Education!! Mark your Calendars!! August 26th!

Free Community Event centered around equitable environmental education opportunities for all NM students!

Mark your Calendars!! We will celebrate Outdoor Classrooms across the state at Wilson Middle School on August 26th from 9 am to 1 pm.

In response to policy recommendation #3 in Every Kid Every Day Every Way – which focuses on incorporating accessible outdoor spaces to facilitate hands-on, standards-aligned learning in school as well as schoolyard design and improvement projects, EENM is partnering with the NM Public Education Department, The Wilderness Society, and Albuquerque Public Schools to offer this first of its kind event to bring the community together to celebrate Outdoor Classrooms!

This event will have a presentation about Senator Martin Heinrich’s Living Schoolyards Act, Wilson Middle School and Wildcat Blooms Garden, Cuba Schools Outdoor Classrooms, and some amazing speakers from the Albuquerque Sign Language Academy, Sandia High School, the NM Public Education Department, and more! Join us for food, activities, live animals, resource sharing and so much more! This event is FREE and is for everyone so bring the family and we will see you there!
