SUMMARY:Introduction to Backpacking-Overnighter (Community Event)
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a beginner overnight backpacking trip in partnership with Sierra Club on April 18 through 19. Description: This is the perfect outing for those who have never backpacked before and would like to give it a try in a low-risk environment\, accompanied by several experienced mentors. We’ll backpack approximately three miles into the backcountry in Tapia Canyon near San Ysidro\, NM\, setup a base camp and then explore the surrounding area where there are petroglyphs\, slot canyons and a number of puebloen ruins. **Latino Outdoors is able to provide a backpack\, tent\, sleeping bag and sleeping pad upon request. If interested\, please email Outings Leader Roman at roman@latinooutdoors.org by April 10th.
