In his public lecture\, July Resident\, Derek Halm\, PhD\, will share his research on the American Bullfrog. He will examine newspaper accounts and government records that chart the bullfrog’s westward expansion\, shedding light on the cultural\, economic\, and environmental forces that shaped its journey. \nAlongside the historical narrative\, he will explore the lasting ecological impacts of the species’ spread\, the ongoing challenges of managing invasive wildlife\, and the deeper philosophical questions that arise when ecosystems change.
