DESCRIPTION:Las Cruces\, NM – Did you know the desert comes to life at night? This family-friendly event will take\nplace on the evening of Friday\, October 16th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at Asombro’s outdoor classroom\,\nthe Chihuahuan Desert Nature Park (56501 N. Jornada Road\, Las Cruces).\nHands-On Activities for All Ages\nEnjoy our nature park with family-friendly crafts and activities centered around native desert wildlife:\n• Meet a live raptor and talk with an expert from the Raptors of New Mexico Foundation\n• Make a bat mask to take home\n• Enjoy viewing the moon through our telescope\n• Go on a short stroll along our trails and see what evening animals you might see\n• Collect free special edition trading cards for the game Endless Forms \nFunding for the event was provided\, in part\, by a grant to Asombro from the New Mexico Department of\nWildlife’s Share with Wildlife program. While the event is free\, donations to support Asombro’s\neducation programs and the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Park are welcome and appreciated.\nAbout the Asombro Institute for Science Education \nThe Asombro Institute for Science Education is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring wonder\nand fostering a deeper understanding of desert ecosystems.
