Urban Forestry Design Assistant position available. $20 to $30 per hour + benefits Successful candidate will be able to draw geo-referenced designs, create designs, communicate clearly with clients and crews, and support principal designer with designs and a variety of managerial and leadership tasks.

Responsibilities:

-Support the urban forestry design principal with a variety of tasks, including drawing beautiful designs from sketches

-Create designs

-Buy plants

-Place plants in landscape per designs

-Provide instruction to crew

-Develop budgets, manage projects and maintain budgets

-Meet with clients

-Answer phones and organize files

-Keep office neat

-Scan receipts

-Procure supplies.

Qualifications :

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Ability to create domains in ArcGIS Pro for setting up into field maps and providing georeference information

-Ability to create dimensionally accurate drawings using AutoCAD LT, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and SketchUp

-Strong southwestern landscape, water harvesting principles, and arboriculture design knowledge

-Ability to listen to instructions and communicate effectively

-Proven leadership

-Clean driving record

-Requires ability to walk on rough terrain in sometimes uncomfortable weather conditions.

-Ability to lift 35 pounds
