First NM Outdoor Learning Week

A Community Celebration of Outdoor Learning

New Mexico’s first annual Outdoor Learning Week, as declared by Governor Lujan Grisham, was September 27-October 1! Educators statewide engaged students in fun outdoor education activities. Dozens of educators and organizations shared about their incredible outdoor learning programs and initiatives on social media. Be sure to check out our social media accounts, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, to see students conducting outdoor education activities from up north at the Field Institute of Taos to down south in Las Cruces through the Asombro Institute for Science Education! In addition, EENM hosted a series of events and actions to celebrate and promote outdoor learning throughout the state. To share about the abundant resources available for outdoor education in New Mexico, educators and other professionals from around the state joined us live on our social media accounts, and EENM leaders released pre-recorded videos on our YouTube channel!  View the live and pre-recorded events by clicking the links on our webpage. Thank you, community, for so effectively illustrating the numerous benefits of outdoor education while making New Mexico’s first annual Outdoor Learning Week a roaring success!
