Introduction to New Mexico STEM Ready! Science Standards: A Deep Dive into Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) Workshop

Join the Environmental Education Association of New Mexico (EEANM) and the New Mexico Informal Science Educators Network (NM ISE Net) for a two-day workshop to gain understanding of these new standards and transform your programs.

Who: Seeking non-formal educators interested in gaining hands-on experience with the NM STEM Ready! Science Standards and redesigning their activities and programs to best support classroom teachers. Teams of educators are encouraged to attend.
When: Friday, April 27 from 9 am-4 pm and Saturday, April, 28 from 9 am-3 pm
Where: New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science

The goals of this workshop are the following:
1) Provide non-formal educators with a basic understanding of the NM STEM Ready! Science Standards
2) Share knowledge and skills for re-designing programs to be responsive to and supportive of these new standards
3) Begin modifying programs in community with others

Registration is required and this opportunity is limited to the first 30 who complete the registration process. Cost of this workshop is only $50 and includes materials to support you in your understanding of the NM STEM Ready! Science Standards, snacks, and lunch on both days. In the case of cancellation, registrants can receive a 50% refund if notice is given via e-mail to info@eeanm.org at least 7 days prior to the workshop.
