Outdoor Learning Toolkit Presentation: An Overview
What is the Outdoor Learning Toolkit? This online resource is designed to increase teacher confidence in utilizing outdoor spaces, provide high-quality instruction aligned to standards and expand all students’ access to outdoor learning opportunities. The toolkit contains resources, lessons, activities, curriculum, guides and content that engage teachers and their students with the outdoors. It also has resources to support teacher professional development, classroom management, designing outdoor spaces, and simple tips and tricks to take the lessons outdoors–even if it is for the first time! We want this toolkit to be a place of gaining confidence in outdoor spaces right outside of the school site.
- Where is it? This toolkit is a free online resource that is located at outdoorlearningnm.org

This project was made possible with cooperation from the Southwestern Region of the Forest Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture and Environmental Education of New Mexico.
